Red geraniums flowing from old clay pots surround the charming 18th Century farmhouse of this beautiful domaine. The welcome Partners receive when visiting Domaine Chevrot is as first-rate as the wines – wonderful classic Burgundies which over the years have won many medals at London’s International Wine Challenge. Maranges was granted Appellation Controlée status in 1989 in recognition of the superior quality of the wine from three small communes to the west of Santenay, where it produces well-structured wines with a depth of fruit sufficient to withstand a judicious amount of ageing in oak barrels. Our exclusive cuvee, Le Bois de Clémentine, has a complex, well-balanced red fruit flavour with an elegant ‘oaky’ dimension at the end.
