Renting a row of vines

How it works

You reserve your row of exclusive vines through Wineware, your vine rental starts on your specified date (if the rental is a gift for someone else, why not start the rental on a special occiasion like a birthday or Christmas day).  You (or your gift recipient) will receive a welcome Gift Pack with a personalised certificate for the row of vines, full details of your chosen vineyard and its wines, as well as a brochure and newsletter.

You will then have the option to purchase up to four cases of quality exclusive*  Appellation Contrôlée wine from your vineyard at your special vineyard Partner price. You then decide how much wine you’d like and select your preferred collection or delivery option. Most vineyard Partners enjoy visiting their vineyard to collect their wine in person, but it can also be collected from Calais, or delivered to your home (mainland UK only).

If you choose to collect your wine directly from the vineyard, our supplier can make your appointment for you. Your winemaker will give you a warm welcome, a tour of the vines and chai, and a personal tasting. Collecting your wine in France – either at your vineyard or in Calais – means you can bring it home duty free – allowing substantial savings.

Throughout your membership as a vineyard Partner, there will be opportunities to buy specially selected wines sourced directly from quality winemakers, and you may also participate in regular exclusive events and tastings in France and the UK.

All Partners receive free membership of the Ferry Travel Club, discounts at selected outlets in France and the UK, and use of a free reservation service for recommended hotels, chambres d’hôtes, gîtes and restaurants – making your trip to France hassle-free.

At the end of your vine rental year, you can renew your rental (at a discounted rate), or transfer it to another vineyard.

* Wineware only offer rentals in vineyards producing exclusive wines.  These wines are made from grapes harvested from a specific plot of land, or are a special cuvée selected and blended from the vats before bottling. In both instances the resulting wine is ONLY available to exclusive vineyard  Partners.
