Does Rose need a glass of its own? Yes, because a good Rose is perceived as a unique wine category. Rose wines can be as refreshing as a young white wine, but are more impressive on the palate and tend to have a fuller finish. This glass helps to reveal the wine’s fruit flavour, before following through with its spice and acidity.
A rose does not display the tannins found in red wine, because of its youth and the fact it is not produced with red grape. Consequently we can gain more freedom with the shape of the bowl.
The rim has an outer lip so that the wines fine aromas can be directly perceived with the tip of the tongue.
