’About 15 years ago I was given a wonderful device called a ’wine breather’ that puts air through wine to allow it to breathe, making a £5 bottle of wine taste like one that would cost double the price. It has now broken and I don’t know where to find a replacement’. Can you help? Padstow, Cornwall

What a marvellous-sounding device, particularly as even Helga and dr Rick turned their noses up at eh Ukranian Merlot I had set aside for them and gluhwein last yuletide. After extensive searching, I found the Air Au Vin wine breather online www.wineware.co.uk. I can’t wait to try it now myself: perhaps with one of these devices I will be able to turn said Ukranian Merlot into Chateau d’Yquem |
