Tony Dickin and his wife, Paula, began producing Dais Wine Tables in 2010. Tony Dickin has had an extremely prolific background in furniture. He began studying furniture making and upholstery before going on to lecture furniture studies at Nottingham Trent University. His passion saw him go on to gain the British Antique Dealers Association Diploma in Furniture Restoration and Conversation from West Dean College.
Tony Dickin then studied and achieved an MA in Heritage Studies from Nottingham Trent University. By the late 1990s, he decided to leave teaching and alongside two colleagues set up a furniture manufacturing business. After four successful years, he decided to work independently making and restoring furniture.
Recently he has been working in a part-time role within the complaints resolution department of a furniture company.
