The wine area of Chablis is located within Burgundy, France and lies to the north-west of the famed region. However, it’s actually closer in terms of location to Champagne. The Chablis area is famous for producing dry white wines from the Chardonnay grape, with several Grand Crus vineyards also in the region. A typically shaped Chablis glass has a small, narrow bowl on a short stem which is ideal for dry white wines.
