WineSkin was founded in September 2006 by Aaron and Alyse Snyder. The couple designed and created the WineSkin Bottle Transport bag after encountering luggage restrictions when travelling by aeroplane. They realised that flight travel restrictions often limited wine bottles being safely and securely transported. The entrepreneurial pair recognised the gap in the market and was determined to produce a low cost, break-resistant, leak-proof product for transporting wine.

The WineSkin Bottle Transport is currently sold in all major wine-producing countries for many wine, liquor and spirit brands.
