About the Riedel Veloce Glassware range

Riedel Veloce looks and feels handmade! This glass collection is produced by machine, using state-of-the-art technologies and is a true precision tool.

Riedel Veloce is an impressive development based on state-of-the-art technology. The glass is taller than the RIEDEL Extreme collection and has a thinner stem and finer bowls. A specially developed machine at Riedel's Weiden factory enables them to draw stems equal to those made by hand by a master glassmaker. The base, with a diameter of 100 mm, is a new standard for large glass shapes and is the maximum that can be produced by machine.

The weight of RIEDEL Veloce is remarkable and has been reduced considerably from that of the Extreme collection. The perfect balance and feel that is similar to handmade glass.

About the Riedel Veloce English Sparkling Wine Glass

RIEDEL embarked on a sensory workshop at renowned wineries in Hampshire, Kent and Sussex, where wine glass development workshops were conducted with twenty-five of the foremost wine producers from these regions to find the best-performing glass for English Sparkling Wine. The objective was simple – to blind-taste together many English Sparkling Wines from many different glasses to determine which glass performs best for the style.

Dishwasher Proof - According to Din EN 12875-1/2:2005

All Riedel glasses are certified as dishwasher safe for 1500 cycles under Norm EN 12875-1/2. In normal usage, this corresponds to a lifespan of 10 years, without any visible deterioration of the glass surface.
